PetAlerter is a small and light application for Windows XP, 2003 and Vista that lays into the Windows Tray Bar, and regularly checks Pet-files for newly registered pets. If a new pet is found, it notifies it to you through a non-obstructive and discrete popup in the bottom-right corner of your desktop.

You can configure PetAlerter so that it only notifies you about pets of a specific species, breed or status, or pets that are from a specific location (e.g.: show me only adoptable Labrador dogs located in San Francisco). Besides this, there's nothing you should do to make PetAlerter do its work. Even the install process is as simple as possible.
